Are people here too rude?

Why do you interpret my comment about cultural, class, and upbringing differences as me seeing myself above others here?

People read a lot into my posts, and I feel it must be the tone, because the literal words don't convey that at all.

Here's what I don't understand...why are there people who come here and decide that they don't like the people, the vibe, the manners of the other members but continue to stay?

If I go somewhere and don't like it, I leave.

I stayed because forums are mostly all the same in terms of rudeness, and people weren't as hostile to me as they are now. I guess the attitude you expressed links back to my OP where I thought that the rudeness here was a Co tributing factor to why there isn't many active members.

Do you think it would be better if I left, or if I just became another rude poster here instead?

If all you going to do is bash the other members then don't continue claiming we are the rude ones and you are just a sweet soul trying to make your way in a mean old world.

So if someone calls some members rude because they've been rude and insulting, then it's the one making the complaint that are the actual rude ones and not the others. What an interesting way to see things. See,that's why it seems best here to just be rude.

If you find multiple forums you visit similar in terms of rudeness, doesn’t it indicate that you might be the problem?

Not really. It's the same even if I never post and just lurk. Mostly it just indicates that rude people tend to dominate forums because non-rude people leave.

I'm starting to wonder if rude Internet folk even know that they are the rude ones?

No.  It means that I'm likely to either become rude or leave, but as yet have done neither.

Again, it's interesting that you interpret an observation about rudeness as stirring up trouble.
