I got my phone put back together. I was worried that the camera lenses might get some dust on them with the lens covers removed, but they seem fine as far as I can tell. It's not exactly as good as new. The back cover seems to want to lift up toward the center no matter how much pressure I put on it, but the case I use grips the top-side of the phone, so it shouldn't make any difference. In the worst-case scenario, I'll have to redo the adhesive.

Looking over my wish list on Audible. I plan to cancel by the end of the month and I've got one credit that I need to use before then.

I live in the Dallas area and have been to DFW once...my son's flight to SC almost beat me back home thanks to all the screwed up construction around DFW.

We have about a 1,600 square foot house and I am trying to figure out how to manage the pedal for my sewing machine with Harley laying on my foot. It's not like there is nowhere else for this velcro dog to be. smh

For some reason credit cards have been throwing themselves at me in the last six months.  I will be doing some switching around as the newest one gives a nice cash back if I spend a certain $ amt in the next three months.  Easy to do with my trip planned for September.  One went up in interest charges so it was put in a box where I keep cards I don't use much.  It will be an emergency backup.  Research showed that it's better to keep it open than to close it as it's more credit available to me that I am not using.  None have yearly fees and the one I used for my last trip not only has zero percent interest for a year but I have already gotten a cashback reward from them.  Through all of this my FICO score has gone up over 50 points and I have enough to cover most any emergency that may come along.  Though I really only use two of the cards (of course I need my Amazon card), I now have a stash of about four more and feel a little more at ease should something (like a car repair) come up.  

Now I just have to hold off on buying another new laptop...it's been a struggle as I love gadgets and electronics.  I may wait till the Cyber Monday stuff rolls around.

We finally arrived at our destination a couple of hours ago. There's tame coati all over the property. They look like a cross between a long snouted raccoon and a lemur.

Middle son came home at (his) lunch time and asked what I was making for dinner. "Boiled chicken" was my response. Actually, braised, but that's what my wife calls it. Of course, she could cook something else... He bought corn on the cob, mushrooms and some nice steak on his way home from work. Yummay!
