Working on my phone. There were 11 tiny screws that needed to be removed in order to remove the plate covering the motherboard of the phone. Ten of them came loose without difficulty. The last didn't seem to want to turn. So I kept working at it, even though I was worried that I was stripping the head of the screw. But I could see that it was turning. So, having removed the remaining screws, I just pried the plate up. That final screw wasn't holding anything, it just was stuck in the hole. Once the plate was removed I was able to extract that last screw. There for a bit, though, I thought I was screwed, no pun intended. I need to clean up the adhesive around the edge that is supposed to hold the back cover on before I apply fresh adhesive. Then I can install the new battery and reassemble the phone. I'm basically out of time today, so I'll finish it tomorrow.

Looking at cucumber bread recipes.

Listening to individual artists until I find a song I like, to add it to the "liked songs" playlist. Thinking if an artist doesn't make the cut, their entire playlist will be removed.

Updated my Indeed resume to the best of my knowledge, because W2s stupidly don't have start and end dates on them.

Just finished ordering next week's groceries. Today is supposed to be another scorcher, so I turned on the A/C. I think I'll watch YouTube for a while.

Removing the old adhesive that was holding the back of my phone on. What a pain in the watusi.
Waiting, patiently waiting. I'm not sure how sustainable this will be.

Got my phone back together, though the back is still off of it. My hands were shaking a bit, so I bungled one of the two adhesive strips that's supposed to hold the battery in place. But I bought double-sided phone repair tape and so I just replaced the bad strip with a couple strips of that. It's charging now and it says that it's at 19%, so that seems like a good sign. I'll let it charge some before trying to turn it on and putting the back cover on.
Just ordered more fabric - someone stop me.
I did finish two last week and have four in the works. I am thinking this is going to cover Christmas this year. Considering putting in gift bags and letting the families do kind of a white elephant thing with them. |
