What's everyone up to right now?
RE: What's everyone up to right now?
Pulmonology consult today. Ordered a bunch of tests and scheduled a second CT scan in early October. If it grows between now and then, they'll resect the bad parts, otherwise we'll continue to monitor it.

It's less scary than it was a few days ago, and I can still scuba dive.

Been listening to Adele, but haven't identified a favorite song yet.

For some reason credit cards have been throwing themselves at me in the last six months. I will be doing some switching around as the newest one gives a nice cash back if I spend a certain $ amt in the next three months. Easy to do with my trip planned for September. One went up in interest charges so it was put in a box where I keep cards I don't use much. It will be an emergency backup. Research showed that it's better to keep it open than to close it as it's more credit available to me that I am not using. None have yearly fees and the one I used for my last trip not only has zero percent interest for a year but I have already gotten a cashback reward from them. Through all of this my FICO score has gone up over 50 points and I have enough to cover most any emergency that may come along. Though I really only use two of the cards (of course I need my Amazon card), I now have a stash of about four more and feel a little more at ease should something (like a car repair) come up.

Now I just have to hold off on buying another new laptop...it's been a struggle as I love gadgets and electronics. I may wait till the Cyber Monday stuff rolls around.

Comparing different brands of gochujang. The CJ Foods' "very hot" doesn't seem appreciably hotter than O Foods' regular gochujang, although I may have sampled a smaller amount of the former. The CJ Foods' gochujang has a sneaky heat, whereas the other does not. I suppose it's just as well, since I don't know where to get medium tubs of the O Foods brand, but I know Dragon Star has them for CJ's very hot. I could probably find it at United Noodle, but their prices are 20% higher than everywhere else.

Tired of fussing with email accounts and rigid security, so finally fixed all my passwords.

The latch mechanism on our minivan tailgate stopped working, wouldn't open. With dog crates strapped down it was a pain in the ass to get to it from the inside to even attempt a fix. Thankfully it happened when the crates were empty and at home.

DIY youtube, a little elbow grease and some WD40 and it was fixed. I thought for sure it was going to be a $500 trip to the dealer.

If you want something to move and it won't - WD40.

If you want something to not move - Duct Tape.

Two if the most important tools I know of.

Obviously not the tourist draw they they were shooting for. Cringe worthy desperation.
