The illustration of the form of the fallcacy works, but to be more accurate, 'in the explcit name of specific flavors of communism'. You have MUCH more in common with Osama bin Laden because you're a Christian than I have with Stalin because I'm an atheist.

I have never done anything "in the name of atheism" not even sure what that means, by the same argument, I have never done anything in the name of not believing in pixies either!

Because you can't do anything in the name of atheism. There is no jump from "I don't accept the claim of the existence of god " to " Thus I should make a Sandwich in the same vein there is no jump from  "I don't accept the claim of the existence of god " To " Thus I should kill all religious people and burn churches down .
