My boyfriend, whom I'm now missing like mad after just a day, came to visit for the holidays and we managed to squeeze in a Seahawks game during the two weeks he was here.
~*~Your beliefs don't make you a better person, your behavior does ~*~
~*~Live a good life. If there are Gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are Gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no Gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones - Marcus Aurelius~*~ (December 29, 2011 at 3:46 am)whateverist Wrote: Thank you Tiberius. Here's a photo of my dogs I took this past summer at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden in northern California. This is the only botanical garden I know where dogs are not only welcome but are even offered free ice cream when you order something for yourself from the tea shop.
Sadly I'm not allowed any cats as my wife is a weaver and fears to have her pieces shred. Too bad really. We could use a good ratter living as we do in a 100 year old warehouse near a creek. Hey look at me posting a photo "all by myself" as my 5 year old niece would put it. When your 10 years younger brother marries a woman 20 years younger than himself, it is possible to have such a young niece at 58. I feel more like her granddad. This really is the best way to have young kids in your life: a few visits a month with the occasional outing and sleepover .. and then right back to mom and dad. Plenty of time to let the heart grow fonder. Heidi Rose, sitting on the bench, is a two year old heeler aussie cross. Fletcher, on the ground, is a 12 year old aussie.
Well I've gotten back as far as page 232. Having seen pictures of your roses, Summerqueen, I've been emboldened to share some garden pics I've taken in my twenty year old garden. (One more year and it can buy its own booze.)
Kniphofia multiflora framing a view of the back garden taken two days ago I spy Heidi Rose spying on Fletcher, earlier this year. Flowers of Caladrinia spectabilis were new in the garden this year. This is what spring looks like in the garden as reflected in the pond. In late May there is lots happening in the garden. First day of Spring break, 2010. In my opinion Fletcher improves every photo he's in. I do grow roses too. Here is one for you, Summer Queen. The rose 'Hot Cocoa' with the phormium 'Guardsman' harmonizing in the background. Photo of me having tea in an incredible garden we visited in England in July of 2008. This was a garden more than 30 years in the making and completely the product one couple. |
