If only boycotts worked at any level beyond the local. Or hinged on the premise that opposition could make Elon do ANYTHING other than just dig his heels in further.

Sorry, where did you get the idea that boycotts work only on the local level? Rosa Parks, Cesar Chavez, Mohandas Gandhi, and South African apartheid would beg to differ.

The sad truth is:
Things are not bad enough yet for people to give up the convenience of Twitter in exchange for upholding principles. At least that's what they/ we perceive.

Once it's too late, everyone will be "quelle surprise!".

I stand corrected on those examples (although I do maintain that Rosa Parks' boycott, as famous as it was, was ultimately a local one.)

That said, I still stand by the fact that, well, has ANY major opposition to Elon's changes on Twitter, specifically politically-motivated changes, ever actually resulted in anything besides Elon digging his heels in further?

Hard to call it local when your Supreme Court got involved.

I agree completely that opposition to the Elongated Muskrat has accomplished nothing.

Not so fast on that Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal.

Hard right Israeli faction opposes the deal, claims Hamas is waffling.

Here's a good interview with Sam Harris detailing how he watched Elon Musk lose his mind beginning in 2020. Also some good commentary on the destructive aspects of platforms like Twitter/X.

Another victim of DEI? Or was it Antifa?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

The DEI hire who was a member of Antifa intentionally caused it to fly through a chemtrail laid down by a pilot who's a 9/11 insider. Dodgy

Exploding cars, exploding policies, exploding rockets. Musk is nothing if not consistent.
