Elon Musk
RE: Elon Musk
DOGE.GOV still says that the receipts showing savings made by DOGE will be coming "real soon now!" Republicans are so gullible.

I thought a receipt was a record of purchase. What is DOGE buying with your tax dollars?

If you stiff contractors and fire people, there will be savings from DOGE. But it all goes into the pockets of corporations for there even more bigly tax cut.

Big corporations own both parties to some extent, but this is complete capture of government by the billionaires. Democracy is gone. Musk will cut whatever he feels "He" doesn't care about, Trump will go along because he's got dementia, and the House Republicans will eventually vote to make it all legal.

In another year or so, we will hear Trump demanding his lackeys come up with a plan for him to run for a 3rd term. By then, voter suppression in the Red states will be ramped up to 11 (with Supreme Court approval) so that no-one with the wrong skin color can disrupt their white nationalist takeover.

There’s already a plan. Trump can’t run for a third term, but he can serve a third term. Like this:

Vance gets the nomination and chooses Trump as his running mate. Vance wins, immediately resigns, and Trump is elevated to the Presidency (the relevant amendment says that no person can be elected to more than two terms).

With any kind of good luck for the US, the chump won't live that long.

I’m not certain, but I can’t shake the feeling that Musk and Putin are waging a secret custody battle for Trump.

RE: Elon Musk
Over the weekend I had someone tell me that Musk's infamous Nazi salute wasn't a Nazi salute.

That the gesture was, originally, a symbol of peace, corrupted by the Nazis, and that Musk was trying to bring back it's true meaning.

My answer was, despite that being utter bullshit, that you don't use a gesture in that way when you know it's been corrupted by Nazis.

My example was, the swastika. It originally WAS, a symbol of peace, used as such for thousands of years, before being corrupted by the Nazis. If I wanted to return it to its original meaning, standing on stage at a hate rally with a swastika flag blowing majestically in the wind behind me, isn't the way to go about it.
