But the DOGE crowd seem to act in haste, then repent in haste

Father of the year
Quote:Grimes sends panicked message to chainsaw-wielding ex Elon Musk about their child's 'medical crisis'
Singer Grimes sent out a panicked message on social media to Elon Musk about their child's 'medical crisis' as the First Buddy wielded a chainsaw onstage at CPAC with Javier Millei.
Grimes, real name Claire Elise Boucher, is the mother of three of Musk's 13 known children - four-year-old X Æ A-12, three-year-old Exa, and two-year-old Techno. Conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair claimed last week to have given birth to Musk's youngest child just five months ago.
'Plz respond about our child's medical crisis. I am sorry to do this publicly but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention,' the Canadian singer wrote.
She wrote that Musk didn't even have to respond to her but could contact her through a third party.
'If you don't want to talk to me can you please designate or hire someone who can so that we can move forward on solving this. This is urgent, Elon.'
'I'm not giving any details but he won't respond to texts call or emails and has skipped every meeting and our child will suffer life long impairment if he doesn't respond asap, so I need him to f***ing respond and if I have to apply public pressure then I guess that's where we are at.'
He has yet to respond to Grimes' message publicly, though he has made multiple posts to X since she asked for help.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

They are already stopping telehealth calls for Medicare patients beginning on April 1st.
I can sort of understand that this should be looked at as the visits are charged the same as an in person visit. You certainly can't take temperatures and blood pressure readings or draw blood over the phone so I will give them that.
But there are people who no longer want to drive or cannot drive and don't have access to a family member or friend who can get them to an appointment, especially if it's not planned ahead.
That all said...a couple years back my doctor had COVID. She wasn't down for the count but didn't want to be in physical contact with patients or staff. I had one of my usual sinus infections and we talked through it via Facetime and it worked out well. I got the care I needed and neither of us were spreading germs around. Additional tests weren't required.

I've never done telehealth for these reasons; my issues require things like palpation or X-rays or MRIs. I can see the need for immediate advice based on reported symptoms, but thankfully have never had to use that avenue myself.

The progression of my symptoms when my sinuses completely fail are so routine that I was comfortable with the telehealth thing. Though, I would have gotten better faster if she could have given me a steroid shot instead of having to take pills...which slows the process considerably. But with COVID going on, it was the best way to go.

Sorry to hear you've got such a hard row to hoe. Do you at least have VA support for it, for what that's worth?
