What's everyone up to right now?
RE: What's everyone up to right now?
Thawing some ground beef to make tater tot casserole. I bought the tater tots two months ago and am finally getting around to making the casserole.

I goofed up on my casserole. It called for two pounds of ground beef and I only prepared one pound. So I cut the recipe in half, more or less. I'll have to try this again with the right amount of ground beef.

Finally blocked the number that kept texting me the toll booth violation messages.

I don't even drive.

Husband and I have been getting those too.  I almost never drive on toll roads around here.  Husband got one saying he owed money to Massachusetts.  It's only recently he has driven out of our little TX town and that has been to a nearby town...Massachusetts is certainly not on the route.

Trying to get an appointment to change my immigration status to permanent, which has been challenging. The process is simple, getting the appointment not so much.

I recently got a nasty text that the mortgage insurance on the house I purchased in Dunedin last October was expired and if I didn’t send them $800 right away, they were going to start foreclosure proceedings. I don’t  own a home in Dunedin (it’s 1000 miles away) and I don’t have a mortgage, which means I don’t have mortgage insurance.

I sent them a text saying, ‘Do your worst, bitches!!’

I am pretty much trapped at home...not a huge problem but I would like to have the option to leave, even if I don't.

It appears that the battery died in my car. Husband didn't get home till kind of late yesterday and was grumpy about his first outing in real traffic several years. I thought it best to wait till this evening to go battery shopping.

Hopefully we can get this resolved this evening. And - I really, really hope it's just the battery. My car is getting some years on it and I need it to last me a few more.

Thanks for reminding me that I want/need to purchase a lithium battery jump starter for the cars. Someone in our house has a habit to leaving cargo lights on.

Those things are a fecking life saver (the jump packs, not the cargo lights).
