Simple chemicals, no alchemy involved. I patinated a copper project with chlorine bleach fumes. It wasn't as dark as I liked. I rinsed the object and tote and followed up with ammonia. When I opened the tote with the ammonia in it, I almost keeled over from the fumes. I got a nice patination out of the two chemicals, though. No, the bleach and ammonia were not mixed together.

This one’s ammonia and salt. I’ve really grown to love that splotchy teal colour.

Was just on hold trying to work out what was going on as I received a voicemail saying the grocery delivery driver couldn't find my house. After a few minutes of listening to some of the worst hold music ever, the truck pulled up out front. Other than the hamburger buns being a little squished all was fine. The driver said it was someone else's house that she couldn't find. So, on with the day.
