A man was caught urinating on the Papal Altar of St Peter’s Basilica, at 9:30AM yesterday during mass.
Why do I get a feeling that this is a WWJD moment?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Birds Of A Warmongering Feather...
Quote:During his address to the Israeli parliament on Monday, President Trump went off script and urged President Issac Herzog to pardon Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is standing trial on three corruption charges.
It's a stunning intervention in Israel's domestic politics and judicial system, made from the Knesset podium. Trump has weighed in on Netanyahu's trial before, but in his speech, he went further than ever before to boost his ally's domestic political standing.
What he's saying: "I have an idea Mr. President, why don't you give him a pardon?"
- "Cigars and champagne, who the hell cares about this?" Trump said, referring to alleged illicit gifts mentioned in one of the charges.
- Trump praised Netanyahu's leadership during the last two years of war. "You are very popular because you know how to win," he said.

I'm hearing now that no one survived the blast.

Too bad it couldn't have been a certain pale house with a certain someone in it.

I saw a thing saying someone has started a GoFundMe to help Portlandians (Portlanders?) buy costumes. Haven’t been able to confirm it, but I hope it’s true.

Attempting to Collar the Dog
Quote:A federal court in Chicago has ordered sweeping new limits on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations in the Midwest, ruling that agents repeatedly violated federal law and a binding consent decree by arresting people without warrants.
The decision issued October 7 by U.S. District Judge Jeffrey I. Cummings extends court oversight of the agency until February 2, 2026, and warns that officers who disregard the order could face contempt or criminal referral.
