Oh god no. I never thought I'd say this but I agree with Pat Robertson. Even as a fundy, I couldn't stand the guy. He made me cringe. He was the reason why I never put a religious bumper sticker on my car. The shame was too much.
I have studied the Bible and the theology behind Christianity for many years. I have been to many churches. I have walked the depth and the breadth of the religion and, as a result of this, I have a lot of bullshit to scrape off the bottom of my shoes. ~Ziploc Surprise

Its a strange day when the fundies start making sense. But hopefully since even the crazies can now see that the war on drugs is a wasted effort maybe we can start investing that wasted money elsewhere, like education. Most people that are for the war on drugs are either misinformed, have ulterior motives, or are just too stubborn to consider an alternative way of thinking

To be completely honest - when I heard this story - my first reaction was that it was a marketing stunt to pull attention away from talking about the birth control bullshit with Limbaugh.

And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree...................why wouldn't he agree with it.

Monotheists typically don't approve of mind altering substances - you're only supposed to get high on God.
