Nobody has tackled the most important question on that quiz, "How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?"

The answer is three.

Here is another quiz:

Is a safe kite made of metal... ever?

Wire or wet string ever?

Do you stay away from streets, antennas, and power lines?

What about frogs?

What if your kite winds around a power line?

As far as scientific studies goes the Purdue University licking machine averaged 364 licks. A group of Purdue University students averaged 252 licks. The licking machine designed at the University of Michigan needed 411 licks. Swarthmore Junior High students needed only 144 licks.
