Quote:If you reach your "real borders" you will still be a country, so what Aegrus said will still be valid. If you do not deal in borders, then why should your "real borders" be of any relevance?Their relevance is in that they represent the places where our people now live, and have lived in traditionally. We share a special bond with those lands. Our current borders, those of Turkey, do not include my historical homeland, Crimea, in which we still have homes, who are now beset by the slav. I do not look back, however, it's not their fault, it is the fault of the bolshevik pest that has swept over the Asian landmass.
Did you just choose to ignore the first point of Aegrus' post, that there is no genetic grounds for superiority?
There are grounds on which we build our superiority, one, which is our blood heritage, or "genetics" as you want to call it perhaps.
But genetics is not the single ground of our superiority. Obviously, no one here will accept anything if I'd say that genetic superiority does exist. Like for example, the Ket is certainly more superior to you or me in his native environment in Siberia, and his body has adapted itself to the climate for generations.
However, the Ket is still a part of a small nation. We Turks have shown adaptability from the deserts of Arabia, to the taigas of Siberia. It's up to you if you want to recognize this or not. The Aryans, on the other hand, could not even hold on to the many crusader states they had created in the middle east. Although the greeks are somewhat similar to our people in how well they've colonized various parts of the world in the antiquity, they were unable to hold out against the cultural and physical attacks of others, and were gradually absorbed.
We on the other hand, have managed well to maintain our presence in many areas.
Quote:My point was that my genes have nothing, or very little, to do with the way I think, it is to do with how we are raised, and are environment when we are raised. You may have some similar genes to these historical figures, but it does not make all turks as talented as they are. There are far greater numbers of distinctly average turks.Well, it does, as a matter of fact. If not, everyone would just share the same culture and same language. Obviously, genetics and cultural affilations, ways of thinking and behavior are related. It's even said that criminal behavior is influenced by genetics.
Yes, Turks are a diverse people. But we have a lot more similarities than we have differences amongst eachother. This is why we are going to succeed in founding Turan.
How else would we be able to recognize our brethren at the battle of manzikert, where moslem Turks and Christian/Pagan Turks were pitted against eachother? The Turks, who were employed as mercenaries at the ranks of the Byzantines have deserted their ranks in favor for ours.
Heritage, blood, and a sense of national consciousness are all grounds for superiority.
The notion that races are equal sound nice when on paper. But they hold no real relevance in real life.
Quote:If you were not raised in turkey, you probably wouldn't have any of these notions that you are superior. The fact that you do just means that you've been fed a lot a bullshit propaganda.Even my half-bred cousins, who are half-Turkish and half-English, see themselves superior to others in how they act and how they behave. When my cousin, Jasmine, came to Turkey with her friends, I have taken note to how she acted in contrast with her english friends. Her friends were obvious drunkards, and fornicators. She on the other hand was held back and had was able to restrain herself from acting like them. I put no pressure on none of them, I did not even talk to them much. Later that year, she had learned to speak our language, and I have began treating her as one of my own. Maybe I'll even teach her other Turkish dialects some day later on. Hopefully, she will later on embrace her Turkish heritage and oust the foreign, so that no drop of blood is lost due to the wrongdoings of my uncle.
Does this not show that the Turkish blood within her veins has given her a sense of restraint and shame? Even though I ignored her most of the time, she would make me coffee and tried to gain acceptance as a Turk from me, not as a relative.
