With so many things that suck, I believe that they should have destroyed themselves by now. But they are still there, although I'm fairly certain that they will destroy themselves at a near or distant future. Theyre on a downward slide, but that was inevitable with China's move towards capitalism in the 70's.
America got there at a time when they were very different, as was the world. RE: What is it about America? Does America's education system just suck?

That makes the common claim of 'the greatest country in the world' both irritating and hilariously ironic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7mUaKUp8Ho RE: What is it about America? China can hardly become an America in the way that America has a grasp around the world like ancient Rome did in it's times. China has been rather...Static throughout it's history, while the US was born out calamity and change. Just like Rome. We also spend more on health care than any other nation and that is in the shitter, too. Coincidence? RE: What is it about America? Does America's education system just suck?

Perhaps take the trouble to actually read a bit on the violent and chaotic history of China. RE: What is it about America? Does America's education system just suck?

Just like Rome. Violence and a few sustained invasions, wars, changes of dynasties and civil war does not really make you less of a static nation or country. As a matter of fact, when I see that China has hit the modern ages a lot later than Japan, a country which it has intensely influenced, makes me wonder. And it's people, so content with their pitiful existence, and the mentality of an ant hive, makes me really wonder. China is static, and will remain static. It really can't move any further than the direction the world allows it to move. Another of it's kind is India, another static nation. There are grants, super low interest loans that they don't have to start paying on until a year after the finish school, there is the military education benefits. There are many options, but because it doesn't come to them they don't got for it. SO that my friend is bullshit. I know because I did it and several of my friends have too. It's not because it costs, it's because they are lazy. Far as I'm concerned you do whatcha gotta do. You CAN deal with it. Hell for 50k in loan my minimum payment was 100 a month. Even working a minimum wage job all that would be is cutting some damn grass on off days. Still don't think it's a good excuse.
I'm no one special and I treat everyone the best I possibly can, but to you believer, despite my acts, I am condemned to hell.

Who wants to start outside with a debt attached to his back? Especially in the current situation of our world where finding a job is as hard as findind a needle in a heap of hay? Do not misunderstand me. These might sound like words of a communist, but these are actually ideals that should be associated with anyone who loves his country and nation, and wants it to grow. For a nation to grow, it needs educated people. Why does America feel the need to constantly attract scientists from around the world? Are they so incompetent as to raise their own? I certainly think that it ought to have something to do with these educational fees, otherwise people would not feel the need to go and join the army for the army to pay the education fees, which puts people of ambition and perhaps great skill and intelligence into the fireline, and steals valuable time from them.
