Then I didn't actually choose it, it was just a consequence of a predetermined timeline. Oh well.

My belief.
Everything is aware to some degree. Free will is part of the awareness 'syndrome' that we suffer from and is nothing more than the 'mind' attempting to explain perception.

Oh dear what amigo? Are you going to elaborate upon that, or will it be yet another problem for which you attempt to leverage an argument in favor of evasion? Bud, in the end, if you feel that what you've offered is good enough for you, and it serves whatever purpose you've assigned to it, thats okay. If it works for you, it works for you, and that's okay. It doesn't work for me.

It's not a Christian invention though, its a philosophical concept. Early on on this thread others were trying to define free will in such a way that necessities the capacity to choose the alternative. It's a common idea of free will, but as has been stated popular doesn't mean right.

Probably because that's the common perception of it, that may, I grant you, be in error. One of the amusing things in this, is that you are attempting to define away what free will has been so commonly accepted to be while retaining the words "free will". It's a dodge, sorry, but that's what it is.

No, definitely doesn't, but it absolutely has to be right for certain christian myths to be functional. I find it amusing that someone would argue for a "free will" that can't even choose between A and B (of course you haven't, just a couple of posts ago you argued for an a or b choice - in spite of yourself).

Clarifying. Not switching there. My point is this work, with counterexamples that is, is not something Christians have invented as a get out of jail free card. Appealing to the common man's understanding of a complicated concept such as free will is not a good route to go.
Again, you will only choose either A or B, between A and B. You can't choose both. Whatever you choose is what He foreknows.

Could you have chosen the opposite of what he knew in advance?

So could we then , create a computer powerful enough to share this illusion with us , or perhaps it has already happened but we just don't know it yet?
