Fuck the drugs your using. No fuck the drugs you are using. Get real, either way everyone is on drugs in one way or another. We shouldn't attack any person just because they do different drugs.

Here's the end of the conversation, at least for me:
Your problem is you think the government should control how people find their recreation. It's fine if people are taking drugs in the form of medication, but not if they're doing it to get high. It's fine if people do dangerous sports, but they can't get into mind-altering drugs. You think this because of your own ideas of what's shameful, but instead of just living in the manner you think best represents your character, you think other people should be forced to behave like you.
I'm just glad you don't have any sort of control in a country I live in. You can disparage on it all you like - but I find the very idea of living in such a nanny state where others sought to "protect me from myself" to be abhorrent, self-righteous, and over-bearing, not to mention arrogant for thinking you can decide how one person lives their life or not.

No I happen to live with people who take lots of prescription drugs on the daily. And they are always being told they need newer better drugs and more types. I'm watching my family get sick and die off these drugs right before my eyes and I could give a shit what anyone says or thinks because I see it. You might fix one problem, but you create several others you will need more pills for.
Lol its not the gov. It's called capatilism

Here's how I see it: Drugs can be dangerous, but so can pretty much everything excessively used. Driving is dangerous (and not even when used in excess), swimming is dangerous, but there are precautions in place for these. A big reason drugs are so dangerous is because they are illegal - no regulation of exactly what goes in, and people are probably too scared to admit to taking illegal drugs if a health problem occurs.

Drugs entail risk.
The proper way to deal with risk is licenses, regulations and education.
Not outright banning.
All that does is create a black market (and thus crime) and leaves a population of vulnerable users who can be victimized by criminals.
The users need to be protected and cared for, not victimized by criminals and the Law.
In return, the economy gets a boost from a diversification of markets and continued revenue flow.
In retrospect, anyone pushing against the licensing, regulation, taxation of drugs in favor of criminalizing users is a supporter of both cartels and government sanctioned brutality. To hell with them.

America's War on Drugs has cost the lives of tens of thousands of innocents and has only gotten worse.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.

Hard to believe we agree on something.
