RE: religion/culture/politics

Some people are not up to the task of ruling a country, but everyone deserves to have their opinions heard (At least initially), and their opinions should matter. That is why the government I proposed has many different types of government all working together to prevent abuse of power. (Democracy, Hereditary <accepts adoption> Oligarchy, and most importantly: Meritocracy.)
It truly is an almost perfect system (Aka, there are no major flaws present)... although implementing it would be difficult without the money to support it in the first place.
The people can't be allowed allowed to make all of the rules in the country because they often do make bad decisions. If you look at America... can you tell me how quickly they learn from their mistakes? However, ours is not an indirect democracy (i.e. that of america), where a group votes for a single representative to represent them... Our is a direct democracy. The people's votes are their own to cast, on all things.
There is a lot of specifics to the system that keep it balanced perfectly... and they would take me a great deal of time to write. If you've that much of an interest, I will rewrite the manifestos from my notes. It won't be as amusing as "The Identity"... but it will be as interesting, or more.
But I'll only put that on the forum if enough people want me to. Otherwise it would be a great deal of pointless work in the worker's opinion.
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day
