i ask again, was the US established? this was in the 1600's so obviously our nation is not guilty in this.

It doesn`t matter if it was established or not, it is part of your history, therefor part of your culture and therefor, if you like it or not part of your nations identety!
To disregard darker parts of ones history and to simply gloryfy the parts shining in a ore brighter light is silly!
History is there to teach lessons and not to be forgoten, otherwise mistakes might be done again! That`s why we built a giant holocaust memorial next to the Brandenburger Tor.
And eaven after your nation was established on a piece of paper and by people fighting colonial British rule with French support - you cant seriously say, that nothing moraly corrupt happened in the name of christianity after that.

i disregard it because this isn't a topic of Christian persecution, but of the US being a Christian nation. i said I've been saying we were founded as a Christian nation and have changed. Darkstar asked if it was a changed for the better and presented the Salem witch trials. this was not a mistake of the US and it's misleading to present it as a change for the better with an example that doesn't apply.

So wait, is this a debate about the prescence of Christianity in America shortly after the founding, or about whether America is a Christian nation? Even if America was once one (if), the fact that the supreme court case overturned it should indicate that it is not one now.

The fact that the Supreme Court rules in favor of the separation of church and state by the founding fathers intentions based on fallacies proves the rulings are bogus.

Firefighter Wendy Bearfoot, 45, dies in Royal Perth after Albany blaze

Albany mother-of-three Wendy Bearfoot suffered burns to 60 per cent of her body while fighting a fire at Two Peoples Bay, east of Albany last month.

The 45-year-old was flown to Perth and treated at Royal Perth Hospital Intensive Care Unit, but tragically died overnight.

Bearfoot is survived by her husband Garry and sons Steve, Geoffrey and Josh.

She and another woman, 24, had been fighting a fire in a pine plantation on a private property when their vehicle was engulfed by flames on Friday October 12.

The 24-year-old firefighter, who suffered burns to 40 per cent of her body, is believed to be still recovering in hospital.

The women had been tackling a blaze with about 20 other firefighters.

Fire and Emergency Services Authority state duty director Bruce Jones said preliminary reports suggested the firefighters were caught when strong winds caused the fire to suddenly change direction on a slope.

I have a friend who's a firefighter. Skinny as a post and brainy and funny. Never pictured him lugging hoses up three flights of stairs.

They are amazing people.
