RE: Hi all / Hallo allemaal
Hello Paul ... and welcome

Can I ask you about your childhood as an atheist ??
You're a Drop in The Rain ... Just a Number not a Name
and You won't see It ... You don't believe It
at The End of The Day ... You're a Needle in The Hay
You signed and sealed It ... and Now You gotta deal with It

Thank you

I wanna know all about It

but for start ,, have you ever questioned your parents about what you heared out there ( let's say in school ) about God and how did we come to this world ?

and what was their reply ?

You see ... I've never met a Man who had an atheist childhood before

and your answers will really help me here !

There are more of us about than you realise.

My old man used to say in answer to your first question, 'we don't know for sure, maybe your generation will be the first to find out', and a favourite my mother used to say was 'religion is important for the people that can't behave well without somebody watching them.'

Oh yes i questioned my parents on just about everything but i was fortunate to have parents who encouraged that, especially my dad, he always loved a good conversation.
Religion was never an issue when i was young, not in school and not at home, we just didn't waste time dealing with it in any way shape or form.
We used to talk about carl sagan's cosmos or tried to read a stephen hawking book and pretended to know what he was talking about lol.
but religion .. no never aside from the occasional things you come across in the media that mostly confirmed it was not the way to go.

I can't imagine what it's like to have a religious upbringing.
