There are quite some religious people on this forum.

Some who I realy like aswell. And generaly speaking, I have no problem with peoples faiths, since I see faith as a personal decision and the right to have it a unquestionable human right.

What will probably get you banned, is the opening of countless threads and your copy and paste jobs.

Ditto. Plus, the OP of this thread got banned for having multiple accounts that he didn't seem to talk to the admins about and for trying to advertise his stupid-as-fuck Yahoo group. If I were the admin, I probably would have banned him a lot sooner for insulting members and preaching, but the sites admins seem to be much more lenient than I would have been.

Anyway, as for God, I'm entirely open to the idea that god exists, I just have yet to find or see proof that any supernatural being is there. I'm not saying "No god exists" as much as I'm saying "I have yet to find evidence that any God exists that satisifies my criteria for proof."

So far, every phenomenon we have attributed to God has always turned out to have a scientific explanation. We used to think lightning was the arsenal of God and then we learned about electricity. We used to think disease was another godly weapon and then we learned about viruses and bacteria. We used to think birth defects were gods punishments against certain people and then we learned about genetics. We used to look at phenomenon like the tides and rain and just say 'God did it' but now we understand the water cycle and the gravatitional pull of the moon.

I read a little of the new guy's 'wall-o-text' and stopped almost immediately. He uses the Bible as proof of God's existance. Seriously, when you pull shit like that you can't expect to be taken seriously, y'know? There are plenty of Jews who can prove the existance of their God with their holy book and Muslims who can prove the existane of their God with the Koran and believers in Hinduism or Taoism or Wicca or Scientology or any other religion and each and every one of them has their own religious belief system that they can proove with their holy book.

Dammit you're right.

I hate god, and the easter bunny, and santa claus, and jack frost and.....

And I suppose I'll have to tell my many religious friends that I secretly hate them too.

Yes, several... We were even going to get one who is an anglican priest to marry us but his work schedule meant he had to cancel.

Why?

Ssh... it's only so I can lull them into a false sense of security and then sacrifice them to Satan.

Where's your proof for this? otherwise you hate God, which shows you have problems that need to be dealt with.
Proof for what? that god is a fictional being?
Fictional beings exist in only two states: books and people's minds..... as far as it has come to my attention, god qualifies as such.
Don't worry too much about it, though... there are some 2800 other gods which also qualify as fictional.... but not a single one that exists elsewhere and hence would qualify as... something else. Wink

And just as I don't hate any of these 2800 gods, nor any of the countless fictional characters in all the fiction novels, stories, books, etc. that exist, I do not hate the christian god.

Science has found this "god" and it is all in the mind along with some pretty hefty drug shit that the body generates....

So naturally; why should any body 'hate' a myth? It's just a story like Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, The Sandman and Old man Trouble, like a million and one stories humanity has told itself over ~100,000 years. No biggy, and certainly nothing to take seriously.
