Oh, and welcome.
I'm sure it does. But 2 questions 1) does it have any demands 2) how does it help when times are not good. I'm genuinely curious i'm not just edging for a debate.

(1) The only demands it has are the ones I make up. (2) It doesn't but it doesn't make things worse either as far as I can tell.

I'd have to echo what Dar said.

The fact that you predict we would ridicule you seems to suggest you yourself kinda think what you 'felt was supernatural' is quite ridiculous...

nope i'm just anticipating those who have a negative default position will not believe what i say even though what i say will be what happened ; and exactly how it happened; and i wouldn't blame them lol

Jesus was basically saying that all the great works of men were going to be torn down in the end of times; our works mean nothing, Jesus is the only thing worthwhile, and that Jesus knew he was going to cause, through them, division and hardship between nations, cities, brothers, parents, and children, on his account. It then went on to state that the end of days, which will come at a time unpredictable to Jesus who is actually God who is omnipresent and omnipotent and apparently graced with the foresight necessary to witness such tremendous events like famine and war *snicker* is unfortunately at a loss to detail the specifics of this incredibly vague end times that will supposedly come. And he doesn't know if it's going to happen in winter or not. MAybe it will, or it may not, and you have to "pray" to god that it DOESN'T cuz if so, it's going to suck really bad because you're not going to be allowed to go get any of your possessions...but he WILL be kind enough to cut those days short! Yes indeed, he's very beneficent to his most faithful followers; he can't stop it from happening in the dead of winter but he CAN shorten those days to not be AS bad. What a guy.

How you think this is on-topic in an introduction thread is beyond me. Most of your posts are quite reasonable, but no one wants to hear you rant on and on in introduction threads. Do we theists tirelessly attack your beliefs on here, night and day? No we don't. Just because this is an atheist forum doesn't justify that kind of behaviour. If it's unacceptable that I do it, then it should be unacceptable that you do it.

Angry WTF kind of a welcome do you call that Creed?? Would it be appropriate for me to call every atheist who registers a hypocrite in their introduction threads?

You want to bring up your points in the appropriate forum I'll be happy to respond, I'm not responding to them here in an introduction thread on a tangent that has little to nothing to do with the OP.

While you're at it Creed why don't you read this: Link

Congratulations Creed Clap - that's a new low - calling a new member a hypocrite in their introduction thread!

Oh yeah, welcome. Doubt we'll see eye to eye on many things in all honesty, though I'm interested in these 'experiences' of yours.

Bah! Let him take his coat off. PFAH, I say! Humbug and silliness, pure twaddle! And a number of other dismissive sounds and words. Big Grin

Besides, I was just addressing his name and where it comes from. He wants the good stuff, he'll get it in time, I am sure. Big Grin

Oh no, not at all, I was actually calling the followers Jesus a hypocrite along with Jesus himself. It was a generalized statement, after all, but it looks like it sure hit real close to him for you. Big Grin

But still, I withdraw the placement of that argument. Or would if I could. If it makes you feel better, that is.
