Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible, generally known as Strong's Concordance, is a concordance of the King James Bible (KJV) that was constructed under the direction of Dr. James Strong (1822–1894) and first published in 1890. Dr. Strong was Professor of exegetical theology at Drew Theological Seminary at the time. It is an exhaustive cross-reference of every word in the KJV back to the word in the original text.

Unlike other Biblical reference books, the purpose of Strong's Concordance is not to provide content or commentary about the Bible, but to provide an index to the Bible. This allows the reader to find words where they appear in the Bible. This index allows a student of the Bible to re-find a phrase or passage previously studied. It also lets the reader directly compare how the same word may be used elsewhere in the Bible. Was it really necessary to kill all forty-two kids? To trot out one of my favourite lines again, an opportunity I always relish, wouldn't that be teaching them a lesson they'll never remember? If people had to die that day, surely it would have been better to slaughter 'only' a few of them, perhaps only those within the bears' reach, then the survivors would get the message not to mock bald blokes as well as being in a more fit condition to actually tell other people about it?

Actually, what were those kids doing standing around anyway while two sodding great bears were killing their friends? Admittedly I have no real experience of the killing speed of even one murderously ramped-up bear, but I have a feeling that if I were somewhere on the fringes of a forty-two-strong crowd being ravaged by death in ursine form, I might just be tempted to, y'know, run away, rather than just stand there going "Ooh look, bears!"

Their deaths while personally tragic helped wake up an entire nation of people to the understanding or purpose that Elisha was their. This event is what put Elisha on par with Elijah wha had been taken up by God. Tey knew that their would be no gaps between the last prophet of God and the comming one.

Debating religious nonsense is ridiculous.

I'm a libertarian and a big believer in free speech. I've been suspended many times from Catholic websites, and totally banned from a Christian one -- and I no longer bother debating with them. I realized that it was a big waste of time. However I still strongly support their right to ban people like me and run their website in the manner that they choose. And I think that we have a right to be critical of religion on this website.

I think that what you are really fighting is the voicing of opinions different than your own. We are not doing anything to anybody, we are just expressing our opinions. Are your really that afraid to hear what other people think? Or are you afraid that your religion is so fragile that some of the believers will lose their faith if they are able to read critical viewpoints? This "God" of yours is pretty weak.
