Bald Prophets are Dangerous

RE: Bald Prophets are Dangerous
Quote:"Show Strong's"

Oh, so you are a devotee of Strong.

People who translate this shit for living seem to disagree with him.

I'll take their word over his...and yours.

Er, no, they don't agree or disagree. You apparently don't know what Strong's is or how to use it. Go back and see my example.

Yes, Minimalist, He's right! You should know that one liar's BS book about another liar's BS book about an undetectable god equals truth.

It's the law of multiplication of negative numbers = -1 x -1 = 1

Guys, why don't you make today something special - learn something!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strong's_Concordance
Quote:Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible, generally known as Strong's Concordance, is a concordance of the King James Bible (KJV) that was constructed under the direction of Dr. James Strong (1822–1894) and first published in 1890. Dr. Strong was Professor of exegetical theology at Drew Theological Seminary at the time. It is an exhaustive cross-reference of every word in the KJV back to the word in the original text.

Unlike other Biblical reference books, the purpose of Strong's Concordance is not to provide content or commentary about the Bible, but to provide an index to the Bible. This allows the reader to find words where they appear in the Bible. This index allows a student of the Bible to re-find a phrase or passage previously studied. It also lets the reader directly compare how the same word may be used elsewhere in the Bible. In this way Strong's Notes provides an independent check against translations, and offers an opportunity for greater, and more technically accurate understanding of text.
I don't believe you people bitch about the Bible and don't even know what Strong's is. Freakin' morons.

All evidence points to the contrary. Fairness and freedom are the antithesis of your god, and the only love he has is an overwhelming amount for himself.

Also the lesson was not for those who were turn into bear poop. It was for everyone else who came after them.. How many other stories of prophet hair lines include taunting after this one.

What a great lesson. Can you imagine the aftermath of the parents and grandparents who had to go to this massive field of slaughter and pick up the bodies of the dead and wounded? You think Elisha ever went back to that town? Hmmm, I think not. Can you imagine the new found "love" the parents and townspeople felt for their almighty creator? No? Me neither.

"Thanks for that awesome lesson god, oh and by the way, fuck you! I lost all three of my children because you threw a tantrum!" My neighbors and I are now going to be extremely short handed and my wife is devastated and can't even function. Thanks so much for that fucking lesson god, you fucking piece of garbage!"

But yeah, Drich, you go right on defending how much freedom and love there is from your god.

Filthy fucking apologist lies. Some more of your good "work" today Drich. You should definitely reference this one for that church you're trying to get into.

Says one of the inmates.. Again my whole arguement is based on perspective. Those being condemned by God are forced to villify Him, in order to perserve their own versions of morality. So of course you would/could only see what you have described here.

I don't think "love" was what God was going for in that killing field. Prophets are men of final chances or of deleverance. Elijah and Elisha were the last chance versions. Those kids and the parents of those kids had already exceeded their quota of God's love under that covenant.
Their deaths while personally tragic helped wake up an entire nation of people to the understanding or purpose that Elisha was their. This event is what put Elisha on par with Elijah wha had been taken up by God. Tey knew that their would be no gaps between the last prophet of God and the comming one.

Is there another christian out there that could tell me again about the sweet, unimaginable amount of love god has for mankind? lol, what a joke. Jesus has got to absolutely hate you by now, you're so lucky he's dead.

Morons? I think not. Minimalist has proven himself to be one of the most well-read individuals anywhere I've been on the internet.

You could learn a lot by pulling your head out of your butt and and listening to him.
But than again, I know your type ... you like your head up your own stink tube. Undecided

Again The love you speak of is conditional. The Love offered is limitless, however no one is entitled to this love, just because they are alive. As proven by the 42 kids/piles of bear poo left after them.

Being well read does not equate to anything. ESPECIALLY when one bends everything he reads to fit a personal philosophy. Minnie is a cherry picker. A bad one. As demonstrated by our last exchange on Christian martyrs. He read one article from a anti Christian website calling into question the validity of early Christian martyrs, and selectively dismissed 10 other points of reference confirming the well document Christian history. These points of reference Ranged from a PBS web site to the Encyclopedia Britannica site. Two separate secular collage university sites, and a whole host of others. All in agreement that Minnie and his god hate website was well beyond wrong. Did he concede the point? Absolutely not. He just shook his fist at PBS and dismissed the whole lot.

None of this matters to him why? Because Minnie forms an opinion and then "Well Reads" whatever he can find to support what ever garbage he has formulated, and ignores the rest. Has he ever been right? I'm sure he has, but as they say even a blind squirrel can find a nut every now and again. Minnie is little more than back ground noise, in his undocumented claims and in his attempt to dismiss The Strongs concordance proves it. Your need to focus on his ability to read rather than any real proof to support his unfounded claims about the strong's concordance, makes you a "Minnie Sheep." Get it?? Minnie sheep.Big Grin I know you did not like me calling you cinny, what about Baaa or Bo peep? Well Technically Cinny would be bo peep since he seems to be your shepard. Or are you so far up his poop chute to notice you blind following?

Debating religious nonsense is ridiculous.

I'm a libertarian and a big believer in free speech. I've been suspended many times from Catholic websites, and totally banned from a Christian one -- and I no longer bother debating with them. I realized that it was a big waste of time. However I still strongly support their right to ban people like me and run their website in the manner that they choose. And I think that we have a right to be critical of religion on this website.

I think that what you are really fighting is the voicing of opinions different than your own. We are not doing anything to anybody, we are just expressing our opinions. Are your really that afraid to hear what other people think? Or are you afraid that your religion is so fragile that some of the believers will lose their faith if they are able to read critical viewpoints? This "God" of yours is pretty weak.
