RE: Tolerance
It is subjective really. At the end of the day do what you feels best the rest will bitch one way or another. Intolerant isn't always bad or always good. You have to make the decision and take responsibility for you actions.

Is that an absolute statement?

Let people believe what they want with regards to race, gender, religion or whatever. You needn't agree with, and you needn't associate with them, but if they're backwards views are causing you know harm, let them believe it without forcing them to pretend they don't have those feelings.

Passive intolerance is the bedrock upon which active persecution sits. That is the problem I have with even the so-called 'good' Christians in my country. Certainly, not all, or even most, of them would bomb abortion clinics or beat a gay person to death, but far too many of them are anti-choice and homophobic, and while they'll condemn the outright violence, they'll also believe that the motives behind the violence are still correct. They'll still speak the same quiet hatred and bigotry which inspires crazy fuckers to take that hatred and bigotry to its logical extreme.

Are you saying that we should be intolerant of those Christians?

Given their own way they would, and do, make themselves extinct. Because they have to let themselves chose to be Christians. Hilarious.

Well, I hope everyone is enjoying the irony of this thread if nothing else.

Perhaps it is only ever the miscommunication that we can communicate with.

At the very least my intention is to raise awareness that personal experiences are just that. At the very most it is to encourage one to understand another had very little choice over them.

I don't know how anyone can seriously consider 13.7 billion years and then blame another individual for their current 7 billionth experience.

I don't tolerate it and I don't not tolerate it either. It isn't mine to decide.

I do not suggest doing violence or harm, but yes, I am saying that those Christians should not be tolerated. They should be ridiculed and laughed straight into the margins of society where they belong. Christians should be treated in the same manner we treat Scientologists or white supremacists, for they tend to be just as goofy as the former and just as hateful as the latter.
