I googled an English-Greek dictionary. I'm quite confident that you're wrong. Despite this bit of knowledge, I took your last comment as a compliment.

Of course people can be good without god, hell even god can't be good (even according to his standards). ;-)

Some would say he pissed that up the wall a long time ago. Others would no doubt agree.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Not at all, Appo. I find this infinitely amusing.

Science is an on-going process of inquiry into the natural world. Those who treat its findings like Holy Script, like you seem to do, lack the spirit of critical thinking needed to advance its cause. Try not to forget that paradigm shifts happen all the time.

As for logic, have you ever considered that rational thought is only possible because the universe conforms to a pre-existing logical order?

Pre-existing as applied to what, myself? Unsurprising, since I've only been here few decades. Have you ever considered that logic conforms to a preexisting set of patterns or circumstances?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Yes, one can be good without god, and, apparently, one can be god without being good.
