New International Version. It does not have any thy or tho or any of the writing that the original bible had. And my atheist friend suggested that I read from the NIV bible.

Really? None of the original writing? It can only be an improvement! lol

I'm being facetious, I assume the NIV will be easier to get through, the KJV is awful to try to read. Don't go with that one.

The NIV is supposed to be the most accurate currently. Trendy versions exist to make the bible more easily understood, if potentially inaccurate.
