You should really consider toning down the obvious hate and bias. You make it look like a black and white issue, which makes you hard to trust as a source. It doesn't feel like you're giving me information. It feels like you're spreading hate filled propaganda. If you're correct you need to present your facts better to convince people. My bias is hardly different from favoring the Poles in 1939.

Around 1207 BC the pharaoh Merneptah commissioned a stele for his temple which used the word Ysirir. Flinders-Petrie said it means "Israel" in spite of the fact that the word appears no where else in the entire corpus of Egyptian literature and no one really understands what it means in Egyptian.

As I understand it the word Palestine derives from the Phillistines who certainly occupied the most valuable stretch of land in the area for a few centuries....until the Assyrians came along.

First every honest person including Finkelstein in a Dever interview has said even if the word is ISRAEL it is so far out of bible context there is no way to even guess as to what that word means. It really is difficult to destroy Israel when Israelites first appear about half way through Exodus.

Second as to deriving from Philistine that is incredible and even borders upon the impossible. The issue is the GREEK ph as an F sounds. The P in Palestinian is an entirely different sound which cannot be represented as a ph.. That is one of the points I use to say the original OT was written in Greek.

The end of WWII has plenty. Israel was created by the Axis of Winners. Again, winners and losers have different versions and views of History. The issue is complex, and we do not have the complete history of the issue created when the Ottoman Empire collapse at the end of WWII. Because, I am sure many factors are left out, and all the behind the scene deals.
