Morality

RE: Morality
@wwjs
firstly cheers for a proper reply.
So it has got nothing to do with actually caring for others, just more a "I can use that person, if I'm nice to them" kinda thing
So love is ultimately an illusion, it's nothing more than a facade for sex?

.....could be possible, but like I said I don't by it.

I said that this is how it may have started. Over time it could "evolve" into what we call today morality- that is from "I won't kill him because he may help me in the future" to "I won't kill him because it's just bad".

RE: Morality
seriously guys is this not a fair question?

Does objectively morality exist, without god?
what are the other alternatives to morality?

I'm not denying evolution either

.

I have to disagree, but only on a technicality. Crud sounds a lot like Dazzn, but with only a more sophisticated argument.

RE: Morality
I see no relevance in it... and not to sound like a dick(But seeing as though you guys are) I asked first!
anyway the answer; it would of been around age 5.. was actually when a hardcore christian told his kids that they weren't aloud to play with me.

Now is anyone going to give me any form of real answer..
or are we just going to continue to play this "holier than thou" game, because I have a question in regards to a problem I see with atheism?

Should I just bury my head in the sand and ignore this question?

I can help you but you have to want to be helped. Do you want help?

First of all, what do we have to work with? Are you as much a psychopath as your posts would indicate or are you just lost in the meaning of words? It might be that you aren't feeling "from the heart" because you are too much "in your head". If that's it, try to stop participating in discursive thinking. Get in touch with your pre-verbal mammalian brain. We all have one but you have to learn to shut up inside. Notice everything, comment on nothing. Look up mindful meditation. Good luck.

Your question was answered by wwjd. Just because you "don't by(sic) it" doesn't disqualify it as an answer.

Maybe you will like this one better.

"gosh, you are right! We never looked at it that way before in the hundreds if morality threads that have appeared on this board and been discussed ad nauseum. This absolutely proves that there must be a god. I repent and ask jaaayysus to save my eternal soul!"

Do you honestly think you have presented some kind of unique argument for morality?

Perhaps it would serve you well to read through some of the threads on the board before laying out tired arguments and demanding only the answers that you approve. Unless, of course, you like having your ass handed to you.
