I'm Mexican. Though I was born in Florida, USA, I have Mexican blood in me. I love how some Mexicans are afraid to own what they are, and so they say, "I'm mixed. I have some Mexican blood, but also French, and Spanish, and..." So the fucking what? Being Mexican almost guarantees you are mixed. I might not look Mexican to some (though I do look latino, they're just not sure from where), and my last name distracts people, but before I start my opinion I will lay it out there. I, Ivy, am a Mexican American living in a conservative state (Arizona). I KNOW what discrimination feels like. I KNOW what it is like to be treated fairly, because I look white, then when they hear my accent or meet my parents they will not serve us food, call us names, or simply yell out, "Fucking Mexicans get off our land!" So, here is my opinion:

A Theist, I agree that whites suffer discrimination by colored people and society who tries too hard to protect the rights of minorities and in the process oppresses the whites. WTF? Ivy, how could you?! This is why:

If a black person says they are proud of being black, everybody celebrates them. I know what you're thinking. The reason behind the celebration is that they have suffered so much in history and still today and it is a good thing to be proud of yourself regardless.
Still, a white man should be able to be proud of his race, say it, and not be punished by evil stares. If he is not being the oppressor, then why should he be treated this way in return?
The same thing goes for Tv (BET). I haven't seen a WET channel (lol WET... that sound like porn, ok back to the point). What A Theist is saying about the media is also true. They have to sell, and aiming towards emotions of solidarity sells. Yes, many blacks have been killed. Many whites have been killed. But if someone says that a white was killed and complains, they will be asked why the color is a problem. If a black was killed and they complain, you better believe that the color is a big deal.

Now. Do I think that whites have it worse? FUCK NO. Do I think that making an association aimed at defending their rights is ridiculous and is (I will use catfish's word) Crybabyism? FUCK yes! If you want your tv channel go fight for it or demand that BET gets taken off. If you want to say you're proud of your race, say it. Fuck people who look at you funny. But don't act like you have it worse and you are the puny one that is being bullied. If whites got together for the things you want, I'd be dead soon. Killed by minute men or who knows what. You do have more power than us.

My conclusion: Minorties have it bad. Even with all the propaganda, we have it bad. Even with society trying to wash their hands by reporting news that shows how we are oppressed, we still have it bad. I know. I live it. Whites have it bad, too. Just for being white they can be targeted to be accused of being racist when they might not be. The difference is that we are accused of being Mexican, black, Salvadorian, etc. We are accused of our color and our accents. We are accused for something we were born with. You are accused of actions that happened not too long ago (wounds are still fresh, and the ego takes time to heal) and actions that still occur today (yes, they still do, if you don't think so, fuck you). I don't see you being stopped just for your color, handcuffed, then yelled at to give them your fucking ID (while you are still handcuffed). (I don't want to get into all the illegal alien subject, I'm talking citizens here)

Everybody needs to stop being racist. Stop accusing people for what they are (race). That goes to racist whites (not all whites, just the racist ones, duh). And stop accusing people of being racist when they are not (that goes to everybody).

Equality rests in our bones (my tattoo on my back says this). At the end, we are all the same. We all break, we all hurt, we're skin and bones. I don't like to be insulted for my race. You don't like being called a racist. It just doesn't make sense for the stronger ones to get together for your crybaby cause.

Bunch of bullies punching two puny kids. The kids begin to get feisty. They accuse the bullies and their friends of being bullies. They grow upset and offended. Kids begin to think everything means they are being insulted. So bullies and their friends create a clan to protect themselves from the kids, because it's not fucking fair.

My best friend in high school was from Mexico. Last name of Jasso. His family moved up here when he was 5 years old. I used to joke with him that he was more American than me. And his mom made the best hot sauce on the planet. We used to sit in his kitchen and eat the stuff till the sweat was pouring down our faces. We were around each other so much that when one of us showed up to hang out with each other we didn't even have a single word to say. One of us just showed up and sat next to the other. When I left home people later told me that he went into a major depression and broke down for a few months. Started acting really odd.

My best friend in the military was a black guy from South Carolina. At night when everyone would bunk down I would walk around and find where he went to sleep. Then bed down close to him. Sometimes I'd have to wander around for half an hour to find him. He probably thought it was weird that every time he woke up this crazy white Texas boy was asleep not six feet from him. But he was a fellow Southerner with a thick Southern accent. So he was my people. Damn yankees were everywhere.

I grew up in a racist erea. A woman in my neighbourhood who married a South African man and had a child with him was forced when visiting her parents to let her husband and child wait in the car because her parent didn`t want black people on their property. When two black kids from the UK came to live at my place through a student exchange project, people complained at the magistrate about black people in the bus and we wee forced tp go to scholl on a different route. Adding to that the scum who populate that village kept claiming I was somehow disordered and had a sexual fetish for black skin.

It is one of the most disgusting things that can exist in a society and it is clearly a phenomenon that only comes into existance through socialy conservative movements.
