The Quran - A Miracle

RE: The Quran - A Miracle
Quote:The Quran was revealed in the 7th century in the deserts of Arabia to a man called Muhammad who could neither read nor write.

Of course, there is no more evidence for that than there is for jesus coming back from the fucking dead. Merely because it is written in some old book of superstitious horseshit does not make either one true.

In the 30s or 20s, I forgot which, they predicted that we would find background microwave radiation in the universe.
At that time they had no way of testing it. It was a very specific prediction, nothing vague or obtuse about it, it was made as an absolute statement.
Fast forward to the 90s and 00s and we have tons of junk up in space looking at the deep reaches of the universe. Guess what we've found..... background microwave radiation.
That's how a prediction works. Seeing a prediction in hindsight, a post-diction, is useless since you know already know it and it had no power to impart any new information prior to that information already being know.

Actually it was Robert Dicke, a physicist from Princeton, who made the prediction about the Cosmic Microwave Background and its temperature in the early '60s. He set out wuth colleagues to construct a microwave detector sensitive enough to test his prediction but was, famously, pipped to the post by two Bell lab technicians, Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson, who detected the CMB radiation completely accidentally in 1965.

At no point did any of the players in this fascinating story refer to a holy book, however. They did it all by themselves.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

The real shame of it is that he could've written a book about it and made it into a religion because he predicted something and it happened. He would've been hailed as a prophet, and today we would go around asking people if they'd "like to hear a passage from the Book of Dicke."
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

I thought a Qur'an was the name of those disposable paper ass gaskets you see in public restrooms.

No miracles there unless they magically remain in place.

I prefer the Kerrang anyway.

Your holy book is false for the next reasons.

1.The legend tell that Allah wrote this book. The angel Jibril appeared to Muhammad and learn to him how recitate each surah.
2.The Qur'an was not wrote by a God because it say that a first man did existed (2:30-2:34).
3.The science say that there are never been a first man. Look information about evolution theory.
4.23:12 this verse say that the bones appear before the flesh. But this is false.
5.How a God can be wrong ?

Aside from the the (many) other numerous rebuttals, this is the most interesting question. I look forward to the reply.
