LMAO!!!!!!!!!!

This coming from the guy who took one look at Evolution 30 years ago and said "fuck it, thats silly" and remains determined to ignore every single piece of evidence that contradicts his religious book.

Yeah, you heard me Daystar. If we're "religious" then fuck it, YOU ARE TOO.

I've done a lot of thinking about this one Daystar, and you are a very religious man, with a very very powerful devotion to your religion. I refuse to just stand idle when you keep on referring to us as "religious" for whatever reason and then take the utmost offense when we return the favour.

I think that we probably think of religion on different terms. I think that everone is religious, including myself, but I have a very minamalist definition of what that actually means.

I have kind of geven up on trying to - work that out because I don't think it matters much.

It is important to me to keep reminding you all of the possibility that you think much the same as religious fanatics in the hopes that at some time in the future you will see that yourselves. I don't think that you could see that now.

Its not fanatical to not claim anything about God's existence and to merely dismiss God and the bible because there is no proof of either.

I did on your claim, as a fallible mortal being, to have free access to absolute truth. But please feel free to demonstrate here that you are an infallible all-knowing being. In other words let the god in you come forward and put down his bourgeois disguise as a christian fundy in self denial on some remote forum.
Quote:"Furthermore there is no honour in hiding from rational scrutiny in dirty secret talks with an imaginary sky fairy in your head."
When you are asked how you can know that certain texts indeed constitute absolute truth, you reply with the typical because-it-is and that you hear voice(s) that tell you that it is so. It shows that you either don't understand the question or are evading it. That some voice in your head makes you believe something isn't proof per se.

You seek refuge in the noble art of names calling. Well sonny, that's very nice and all, for it shows you are indeed connected to the absolute, i.e. absolute crap.

What I don't understand is how anyone could be so desperate to escape the bounds of Christendom that they would create the need to believe such stupid nonsense like it was sacred. You would think they could have come up with something somewhat more sensible since Darwin - who is nothing more than a 100 year dead idiot equivalent to a TV evangelist.

And that alone makes you a Fundy ... I mean let's get real here.

The scientific community accepts evolution, there are a few (very few) who don't but no relevant scientist or group doubts evolution, not one. Evolution, as a scientific theory, is now no more doubted than the theory that the Earth goes round the sun or that things fall towards the strongest attracting gravitational field ... no scientist works any longer on whether evolution occurs but on the mechanisms by which it proceeds.

So you disagree, you say it's a joke ... but what you are really saying is that 99% of the scientific community (and 100% of all relevant experts) are either so stupid they have been fooled by this evolution nonsense or they are engaged in a global conspiracy. If there is any other option I am not aware of it ... so which is Daystar? How do you explain how virtually the entire scientific community, arguably the most advanced thinkers on this planet, have been fooled into believing and promoting what you refer to as "a joke"?

Explain this.

Evolution is that something thats happening all the time. Every time a children is born and every generation of diffrent insects are created. It´s a process that have been happening since the day the earth was born.

Thats why we have genes to pass on to our children, that get the best genes from us and they give there best to their cildren and so on. Humans, animals and everything else is constantly improving.

A very obvious example to how this work is to just look at numerous types of virus and bacteria. They are constnatly adepting to our medecine so they finnaly get imune. Thats why you shouldnt take to much medication when you have cold or something else becuase finnally after many generations will the bacteria adabt to that and you will have to take more and more pencelin, or other medication, to get rid of the decise until the medication doesnt work.

For just more hundreds years of go did people die of a simple cold or fever. But we to have adbeted ourself to this and become more and more resistant to other types of decises and virus. But instead have more dangerous viruses spread like AIDS and other lethal viruses, that our bodies havent adebted to. Thats why scitentist and doctors are very careful to treat deiffrent types of virus to not make it stronger, just ebcause they are evolving alot faster then humans. Something that takes hundreds of years for us, maybe more , and many generation just takes some few year- depending on the virus of course.

There alot traces in hour on body and other that show how much diffrent animals have evoloved. We have for an istant the Cecum, that have no use for us anylonger but probably have some use for our ancestor 10 000 of years go. probably to digest raw meat better. Our mucous membrane does eaasily get irrteated by useal tap water if try to rinse the inside of your nose with it. But saltwater are something that doesnt irritertate and you can hardly feel it. Also you can look underwater more easily if you are in saltwater too. Why? Beacuse a very longtime ago where we a water living creature, far from human but still have that passed on.

The giant blue whale have hip bones, which is not useful for a water living creature. but it shows that it have been a land living creature that for some reason crawled back to the sea, probably because it was easier for that species to get food there.

Please explain exactly how we think "much the same" as religious fanatics and maybe I'll agree with you. All you've done so far is put in the odd snide remark about atheists having "faith" without backing it up or responding to criticism. I personally think you think the same as religious fanatics, and I have the following reasoning:

1) You believe the entire Bible from cover to cover without question.
2) Anything that vaguely resembles a contradiction in the Bible results in you throwing a strop and claiming that the contradiction is not a contradiction because of some ridiculous notion that you understand absolutely everything about the book, including which sections are metaphorical and which are factual.
3) When science flies completely in the face of your book, and you cannot possibly reconcile it with scripture, you simply charge the science with being wrong. Nevermind that this science is the result of countless years of research, experimentation, observation. Nevermind that this science is universally accepted by the scientific community except for some bizarre religious kooks. If it disagrees with the Bible, it must be wrong.

The three signs of a fundamentalist: Complete devotion to scripture; Coming up with ludicrous explanations as to why reality "seems" to contradict scripture; denial of scientific endeavor.

Only once you explain to me (a) how you don't fit in the above, and (b) how atheists (or heck, just me) fit into the same group as fundamentalist Christians, will I stop calling you religious. Like most arguments with theists, the burden of proof is now on you. I've said my bit, made my accusations, backed them up.

Your turn.
