I think its the other way around: Liberalism linked to high IQ, as there are more liberal smart people than there are smart liberals (percentage-wise).

Good point,IF you accept IQ as a meaningful measure of intelligence. IE I think IQ presents population intelligence as having a median of 100. The percentages above and below that standard become increasingly smaller as one goes up or down the scale
