I swear every time I see this thread I think for a quarter of a millisecond that someone is suggesting "Slavery Thursdays."

This is my exactly point. some people are content with being slaves. The ancient Hebrews had a tradition called Jubilee, which took place about every 50 years, in which anyone that was a slave could go free if they wished. If they wanted to remain a slave, then a hole was bored into their ear marking them as a slave for the rest of their life.
This also has spiritual significance. The hole bored into the ear represents those that refused to hear truth.

I guess it supports slavery, if by "support" you mean the one story about God sending Moses Into Egypt to free 2 million slaves. and having to feed and provide water for them for 40 years.

Christians do not observe the old covenant, thats what Jesus came to abolish.

As for the first second one, its pretty good advice. You see there were a couple of famous slaves in the bible one was Joseph(whose life parallels the life of Jesus perfectly), because he was a faithful and righteous slave he became ruler of all Egypt. And the other is Daniel, a man brought into Babylon as a slave.
Genesis

39 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:

The Old Testament is still the Bible and the Bible is still the word of God, isn't it? And actually, the way I read that verse, it says it's okay to beat a slave with a rod as long as it doesn't die in one or two days.
