Are we scientists?

Are we scientists?
I don't understand how the world works scientifically, neither do probably any of you all that well, we aren't scientists! So I'm gonna trust that 31.59% of people are right (Christians) then 2.01% of people are right (Atheists)
Plus where I live over 90% of people are Christians.

If you're not a troll, then you're a fucking idiot. Ad Populum Fallacy, anyone?

PS. There are some people with science backgrounds on this forum.

I'm a scientist!

So let me ask you this: if you lived several centuries ago when everyone thought the earth was flat, would that have made the earth flat? Or would it just have made the majority wrong? Dodgy

I submit to you this same question could be posed to you regarding the existence of god. If ninety percent of the world became muslim overnight, would you convert?

I'm so tired of hearing the "well people thought earth was flat" argument. People had no scientific knowledge back then. Now most people have the atheist's so called "evidence" at the click of a button and STILL it hasn't convinced most people (I don't even KNOW an open atheist in real life).

Using that logic, no new ideas can ever be allowed as they wouldn't have the popularity. Stupid..

Secondly, anyone who studies science is a "scientist". We typically use the term for ones that make a living at it, but it is one big sliding scale. We are all scientists here with knowledge of science that dwarfs the knowledge of the goat fucking, sheep herders that wrote the bible.

Yet most people in modern times have those same scientific resources and disagree complete with you?

Although your bible and religious beliefs are demonstrably wrong in a lot of cases, this is not the evidence most atheists rely on. Most atheists simply ask you to uphold your burden of proof. You have not demonstrated your god, there is no evidence for him, therefore, I lack that belief.

Our evidence is the planet. Atheists think this all just happened. My dad says it takes more evidence to be an atheist and believe in evolution than to be a Christian.
