How does a country become an "abomination?"

A country is either born an abomination, or becomes an abomination by its own doing.
America is both.
Though as I have said before, America will live for at least a while longer.

America has a number of cancerous tumors within itself, who will eat the country inside out. And well, if it won't be treated with some serious Chemotherapy, America will eventually succumb to the cancer. Right now, its being given morphine to dull the pain that the growths cause.

The fact that America lacks a common identity that the country is based on is enough I'd say. Tax-evasion, the reason for the war of independence of America.

I'd say you're quite the conformists when things are going your way. The only time you rebel is when you are taxed a bit more than usual, or when you're taxed at all.

No, its not about that, so did the Irish. But Ireland is a nation that is united under a common heritage, history and culture, albeit they lost their language, they successfully resisted assimilation mainly because of their lasting faith and love for their roots.

Since then, the kind of economic talk I heard in the video has been pretty much what the Republicans have preached constantly.

I stopped listening to republican shitwits when Nixon turned out to be a crook after tall.

As long as they have political power, you kinda gotta listen to them. It makes actually dealing with them a lot easier.

Unfortunately, as much as they talk about cutting spending and reducing the debt, whenever there's a Republican in the white house, they never actually do it. Regan didn't reduce spending and the GOP damn near worships him. Dubya really didn't reduce spending and he's also the one who insisted on the bail-outs, being the first to use the line "to big to fail." It would be nice if they actually cared enough about the debt or cutting spending to eliminate some of these wasteful government subsidies for oil companies or defense contracts to build tanks and let them just sit in storage.

Republicans/Democrats, neither holds the moral high ground and both parties are completely corrupt. I do not have the words to express the disdain I have for those who believe that their elected official is somehow more ethical and benevolent than the other. Horseshit! We should stop fighting each other and deal with the real fucking problem: We have a criminal government.
