Why all "Logical Proofs Of God" fail ...

Instead you chose to be argumentative. Nothing further needs to be said. Chad, I already know that you're enough of an egotist to think that your piffling, sophistic response is a one-shot, perfect rebuttal, but I think it's pretty clear from my arguing back that I don't think you're right. And I find it interesting that you choose to ignore the meat of my response to you in order to make my objection seem simplistic by quoting the one word part. Incidentally, you seem to have missed the point of that one word anyway, which was to point out that just pontificating about possibilities isn't enough; in order to turn that "if" into an "is," you need evidence that shows that your claimed thing exists in reality, a process that invalidates the idea that logical proofs are sufficient to show existence.

Some nonbelievers confuse reality with the physical universe. If God is real, then by definition He is part of reality. If logic is indeed a method for gaining knowledge of reality, and if God is part of reality, then logic is a method for gaining knowledge of God. Some believers confuse the supernatural with things that are real. I accepted the premise of the OP and showed, quite simply, that the conclusion did not follow from it. If you find my refutation lacking then you must defend the logic of the OP, not attack a claim I did not make.

Well, considering the rest of the argument, which states that a universe with a god in it has no necessarily constant rules through which we can interpret reality, simply stating the cause of that problem again doesn't exactly help your case. Leaving aside that it's a big "if," to begin with.

"but if there was a whale in your house it would be invisible (or you'd be able to see it" "what?! I've just told you there is no whale in my house" "see? Invisible. Told you. The fact you can't see the whole proves it's an invisible whale. " "yeah, IF there was a whale" "Pfft. That all you got? If? "

I propose that deep under the sea lives a creature called a Giant Prawn. It is 10 feet high. No one has managed to get recorded footage of a Giant Prawn, however there are stories from sailors about encounters with them 500 years ago.
Use a logical argument to show the Giant Prawn exists... RE: Why all "Logical Proofs Of God" fail ...
