Yes, but it would be nice for the "prof" to acknowledge evolutionary processes to solve problems, are used throughout the technological world.
If he did, I missed it.
Will you redeem yourself prof, or do you intend to be forever relegated to the ranks of ignorant Jesus shitheads?

My initial thought with this post was, you guys would never use darwinian principles to go to grandma's house- you would never get there.
We would rather not buy a car assembled on friday (or is it monday?) in case there was any shortcuts in it's construction, and yet you think this whole shebang just assembled itself?
I see a huge disconnect betweeen everyday life (including making very complicated machines) and the belief system that has become a dogma.

I say that either the "Professor" acknowledges that he was wrong on the specific point of the OP, as well as stunningly ignorant of biological evolution, or a couple of his knee-slappers in this thread should be immortalized in the Hall of Shame.

We make intensive effort to eliminate all randomness from our products.
Every machine begins with an idea and a bank of historical engineering knowledge, plus thousands of hours of development.
This is the real world.
Not the land of Academia.
Recently, one of the engineers said that a suggestion from the 6Sigma people was to take one of the bearings we are dealing with- walk it around the yard and put it back in the machine.
To test "Randomness". We all laughed at such idiocy.
Then, I thought- where would such a stupid idea come from?
Where else? From school.
Now, who is up for owning a Darwinmobile?

Dogma? Do you even know what that word means?
'The more I learn about people the more I like my dog'- Mark Twain
'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House
“Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom
"If my good friend Doctor Gasparri speaks badly of my mother, he can expect to get punched.....You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others. There is a limit." - Pope Francis on freedom of speech

Giving the transparent lack of knowledge about the ToE, yet parroting such ignorance to the point of calling Darwin a fool, what does that make you?

You were just given evidence that this disconnect only exists in your imagination, including a listing of published engineering papers. Are you too dumb or to indoctrinated to acknowledge that?

"Thought" is probably too generous a word for what you spewed out. And then when you were shown that, in fact, grandma's house could be located through evolutionary principles, you threw a little bitch fit as each of your tired old arguments were debunked.
Now you're reduced to this baffling, ranting nonsense.

Misinterpreting abiogenesis as evolution? That's a paddling.

Can I ask you something? I mean, I know you're not actually forming coherent thoughts at the moment, but even if we didn't use evolutionary ideas in engineering, even if your initial point was exactly right, how would that invalidate natural, organic evolution? Manufacturing is very different to the natural world, in case you haven't noticed.
You could use the same premises of your initial argument to say that, since you wouldn't want a car that poops, therefore defecation isn't real. You're just being stupid, now.

Yes, your straw man version of evolution does not hold up to scrutiny.
What a shock.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
