I am not a photographer, but I appreciate photography as an artform. Those are amazing pictures!
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura
I used to do it on a completely amateur level, with a disposable camera, when I lived in Pennsylvania from 00-09, but have since dropped it here in San Diego. Not sure why.
However, my mother has passed on an old camera for my trip to St. Maarten on the 21st. I'm sort of curious to give it a go again, but I miss the beauty of the Mid-Atlantic. We shall see.

Here is few of my older photos:
Such wonderful photos!
I have a fancy pants Compact System Camera which I have yet to take out and really use. I've always been interested in photography, but I've never really had a proper camera to go around taking photos with. My camera came with free Photoshop Lightroom, which I might use if the old PC I have still works after years of not being used. Great idea for a thread!
Those are awesome, FifthElement! I really like the screw in the wood...never thought something like that could look interesting.

Here is an image of the nearly full Moon I took last night at the Louisville Astronomical Society Observatory. I used the club's 142mm f7.5 Astrophysics refractor, and myHutech modified Canon T1i at 1/500sec.
