1. Titanic didn't have a battery powered pinger that searchers can hear.
2. Once 70 years have passed and Cold War underwater spooks have had their budget, it took Robert Ballard only a few days to find the titanic.
3. I am pretty sure Atlantic Ocean is bigger than Indian Ocean. What is more where titanic is the weather tend to be worse and sea rougher than where MH370 is thought to have gone down.
4. Side scanning sonar have advanced a lot since when Ballard found the titanic.
5. Cmommerical salvage operation is now possible at depth where MH370 is thought to have gone down. It wasn't just 15 years ago. The number of commercial underwater ROVs that can reach NH370 depth have also increased from zero at the time when Ballard found titanic to scores now.
