It is time to reevaluate one's faith when it allows one to defend atrocities in its name.
What atrocities have I defended? I have done nothing but defend the Truth in its fullest sense.

If you have to ask that question after the pages we have been through discussing those atrocities, then there is no hope for you.

I have no problem defending the True Faith. I simply have responded to your complete focus on Church scandal with nothing but the Truth? How and why should that lead me to revoke my Faith? It doesn't mean I support the actions themselves, I look beyond them, much like Giants fans had to or A-rod fans, and realized something greater exists.

So you would consider me less than a HUMAN BEING if you saw me walking down the street? Or Blessed Teresa of Calcutta? How, and why? According to you a human is someone without the ability to choose to act as it pleases. Are we all, then, not human?

There is nothing good or moral about looking beyond the atrocities. To still be a member of a corrupt institution is to basically state that you are okay with all the wrongs it commits.

I consider you less than human because of your apparently irrational support of a corrupt institution. No amount of stating Truth or Faith can cover the fact that you are willingly ignoring the atrocities.

It is called forgiveness my friend. And secondly, the Church may have Her share of scandal within the confines of this world, but to say that because I belong to the Church means I support the actions of a few is illogical. I don't know if the analogy hasn't hit home, maybe you will get it on the ride back from work, but are you as a customer at Wal-Mart to blame for an employee hitting a customer, or someone at the corporate level stealing some money? Should you just say "no" to Wal-Mart then?

But do you realize what you are saying? Calling me less than human! Where is your respect, your dignity? Or were they lost when you decided to reject the Truth you once knew or are now being given?

Clearly, there is no reasoning with you.
The Catholic Church is corrupt. That is a fact. The Catholic Church should not be supported. That is a fact. Those who support the Catholic Church are backwards minded and delustional. That is a fact.

Facts require evidence. I could say "the grass is purple. That is a fact. Ice cream rocks. That is a fact". It means nothing. Look, we can continue tomorrow, I need to sleep some. Can you at least respect that and we can pick up where we left off tomorrow evening?

Interesting, especially coming from one who thinks god's existence requires no evidence.
After all, if there was evidence, it would be available for all to understand and accept. Since the evidence for any god is lacking, it is ironic for you to be the one to mention anything about evidence.

You don't have to support the Catholic church to be a Christian. This isn't even an argument that the corruption of the church reflects badly on Christianity itself (though such an argument could be made). Why are you so eager to defend people who are doing so much to give your religion a bad name? If the individuals who govern the church are corrupt, then how is the church not itself corrupt?

God, with a capital G, and His existence is a good point for tomorrow. I need to rest. I respect you a lot, and I hope you give me some bit of respect as well.
