Catholicism
RE: Catholicism
To sum up thus far:

1) OP willing to condone and associate with an institution guilty of a criminal conspiracy;
2) Makes ridiculous, unsupported claims about the nature of the Catholic Church (sacraments, etc.);
3) Reveals no understanding of what atheism is (i.e., atheists are really maladjusted, angry theists).

Congratulation, ducketto, you have achieved a fail trifecta. Impressive.

Ducky boy.

I missed your response to this. I kinda need it to move on with the rest of the issues with the catholic church.

This didn't mean what it appears to mean obviously: http://www.cprf.co.uk/articles/PopePiusX...2OX5PmSzpA

And this must just be wrong too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitler's_Pope

Ignore this: http://itccs.org/2013/08/04/the-roman-ca...st-4-2013/

Oh, and this:

http://www.popeaccountability.org/

Don't watch this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaJ82MFji2c (actually it is pretty nuts - looks like its from some form of theist or other but its a good list).

Then there's this from all the other nutty sects of christianity.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_o...lic_Church

Getting bored now. How many more do you want? Would you like me to focus on the more historical stuff instead of the modern evils?

Perhaps we could look at how insane the belief's are - maybe focus on those that are in direct contradiction to the gospels if you like.

Or we could look at the role of the catholic church in the spread and transmission of the aids virus, its anti-women positions, its vitriol against homosexuality, its long history of anti-Semitism.

Perchance the insanity of the "perpetual virgin." Or the immaculate conception as it was applied to Mary, rather than Jesus?

Tell you what - have a stab at some of these and I'll line up another hundred or so issues for you to look forward to.

In the meantime, a question:

Does it seem reasonable to you that an organization that claims perfection, claims to have a hotline to god, claims to be the one true church and all that makes such a mess of everything down here on earth?

Before you answer that watch this video - its 2 hours but there's a lot of ground to cover:

I'm convinced the Catholic church can do no true wrong, and I need to start loving my true creator. I can't believe it's taken me over 30 years to realize this, and I owe this all to a quacking duck!

Really dude, what response did you expect to get from us? I'm tempted to register on a Catholic message board and ask them what they think of Atheists. If I do I'll be sure to send this thread a link to keep up with my adventures.

Try "Suscipe Domine" - they're a hoot. Big Grin
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

You make a broad sweeping generalization of atheists, that absolutely attacks our character, then you say "Oh, I wasn't intending to attack character!"

So now I will make it clear that I absolutely intend to attack your character. You are a slimy, pedophile excusing, lying, hypocritical, duplicitous pile of dog shit.
I forgive you for such words.

You don't have that authority or that right.

It's funny, but you theists never seem to recognize that it is in fact you that is responsible for eliciting such a response from us. You lot repeatedly make broad sweeping statements about people and/or beliefs that you do not hold and do not understand, and then get your knickers in twist when people call you out on it.

It doesn't bother me too much though. I know it's always too much for you guys to practice what you preach about empathy because you're hard wired to be stupid regarding your inability to understand the [lack of] beliefs of others.

In addition, FWIW, everyone is born an atheist. You were indoctrinated into a religion through one method or another. Lucky people like me had parents who taught us how to think and not what to think, and subsequently I was never indoctrinated , and have been free from the tyranny of religious faith my entire life.

Maybe shedding the indoctrination is something you should aspire to, that is, after you realise you are indoctrinated.

No, just a failure per se.

Fuck the Catholic church, fuck those in charge of the church, and fuck the Catholics that know what happens within the church and make excuses for it.

So fuck you too.

Oh, and definitely fuck the pope.
