In a typical portuguese supermaket, there's at least one shelf dedicated to what we call "bolacha", the spanish call them "galletas"... They are sweet. What do you call these sort of things?
Biscuit, cookie or cracker? or something else?
In the UK, I once found something similar, rich tea biscuit, also sweet:
I'm confused....

That's a hard one. I think crackers. My ex husband dunked them in coffee. I just think they're gross wanna be cookies. Americans have our own idea of the word sweet I think lol.

The trick is to keep them from getting squishy and yet retain the coffee's flavor.

Is that why you know who offers all new comers cookies?
She's not litterally offering cookies at all!
Hehe Ha, I never even thought of that. Yeah, cookie can be slang for.... something else.
But no, I was referring to the actual food product.

KuKuKachu. Enjoy the forums!
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
