Same. Just today I ended up doing a Cremation joke, one of my siblings laughed, but my mom just kinda stared.

"You can change my name to... ASHley"

It was really.... I was just amazed someone got the joke, and their reactions made me laugh more than anything... Thinking

The same decade that brought us dead baby jokes, brought us paraplegic jokes:

What do you call a paraplegic at the door? Matt.

In the pool? Bob

At the firing range? Mark

On the beach? Sandy

Can Timmy come out to play?
Boys, you Timmy is a paraplegic.
That's okay Ma'am, we just want him to be first base.

Not necessarily offensive but I found this funny.

This morning I saw a woman in a wheelchair with a sticker on the back saying, "667: Neighbour of the Beast"

Offensive and funny are not mutually exclusive. As Beccs pointed out, it is possible to laugh at stuff that is in the same breath horribly offensive.

That said, the things I rarely find funny but always find offensive:
Racist humor
Rape humor
Death/illness humor (specific individuals)

Of course, there are exceptions (except maybe to the rape humor) but in general these topics just shouldn't be joked about.

One caveat about all of these: self humor. Minorities get to tell jokes on themselves. Rape victims get to indulge in black humor about rape. People dying or ill get to tell jokes about it.

Completely agreed. A couple of black guys at work and I are constantly mocking stereotypes with each other. Big Grin

Offensive humor is always a tricky subject for example there was this guy(I think he was hindu or latin I'm not sure the thing is that he was tanned skin and black haired) who was traveling on a commercial flight and he made a offensive joke. He opened his laptop in the middle of the airplane and puts this on the screen.

While he starts acting like praying. All the passengers freaked out and screamed: OH a suicide bomber, terrorist, islamic extremest, Al-Qaeda you can imagine. And beated the crap out of him. Because after 9/11 the panic pretty much invaded the minds of most American flight passengers.

A clever joke indeed but very offensive an inappropriate.
