I thought the Aussies had pretty much pulled their heads out of their asses when it came to religion. "Surrounded by Christians who don't respect..." sounds like America's Bible Belt. (Where I happen to be at the moment.)

The parts of oz that have been exposed to different ideals have become more atheistic in their ways, but still the areas where they have isolated them self in away have built communities that only preach what they think is all that needs to be known. plenty more to learn then what one useless book can preach.
