Parents who confuse aggression for discipline. I saw a woman with her son, he must have been about three. Anyway he must have done something wrong because she grabbed him by his wrist and jerked him so hard towards her that his feet actually left the ground. She then proceeded to bend at the waist so her face was level with his and only an inch apart, and scream at him.

This isn't parenting done right. This isn't discipline. That is just pure aggression and taking out your frustrations of your life on a kid. He was effectively her punching bag, not that she actually struck him. I think that if the only way you can see to discipline and control a three year old is to scream and traumatize them, force them to submit out of fear, then you aren't fit to be a parent. It isn't hard to outsmart a three year old and manipulate them peacefully and calmly into what you want them to do. Plenty of adults are capable of doing that to other adults.

And in case anyone says I have no right to tell someone else how to raise their child: yes I bloody well do. I have to live with them. We all have to live with them. That child will go out into the world and his behaviour will be affected by the 'parenting' of his mother. It's the same reason I don't like religion. Because it causes unwanted behaviour that will affect me and everyone else.

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House

“Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom

"If my good friend Doctor Gasparri speaks badly of my mother, he can expect to get punched.....You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others. There is a limit." - Pope Francis on freedom of speech

The damn pledge and god on money still not being edited out. Right now it's the pledge because my daughter is learning it in school. I don't think I can even do a thing about it, but this shit needs to be corrected or banned from schools. Relating mythological bullshit to countries and currency is just telling the world how badly you want to be perceived as morons.

Hmm, how many countries in the world "force" their kids to learn some patriotic pledge? I wonder...
Not Portugal! :p

"Under God" or not I don't care for the pledge of allegiance. I told my daughter she doesn't have to say it if she doesn't want to.

And the anthem

The anthem is filled with words I've never heard before 2011

Since I was a child people think I'm smart (I don't know if that's true).
I hate how everyone expects you to get everything right and that you're faking it when you're struggling. I mean everyone needs help sometimes.

And people think I'm playing dumb a lot when I just wasn't listening. I admit that I underestimate my ability to do things a lot though.

And I'm supposed to be boring and self righteous by some people (I hate stereotypes). What's ironic is that many of them are more religious and their idea of fun is insulting others, redneck-ish jokes and talking about sex and girls (they're virgins who think porn is real)
