The hilarious thing is that while the books are about magic and witchcraft, there is also quite a bit of Christian imagery , especially in the last book. But the same could be said about a lot of other very popular books and movies and has way more to do with understanding literary tropes and story structure than anything to do with Christianity.

That would almost mean that Harry and Dumbledore are the same person, and that Harry is his son/himself.

Yes there is Christian imagery out the ears in Harry Potter.

Harry begins as an innocent narrowly escaping homicide by a tyrant (Voldemort) due to a prophecy about Harry's future greatness. (Herod, the wise men, and Jesus). Harry is not the son of god, nor does he have a preaching career or disciples. But he does sacrifice himself for the greater good, and he does rise from the dead. And his sacrifice makes the death of the tyrant possible.

Add that what Harry has and Voldermort lacks is love, and you can make a lot of Christian hay with Harry Potter.

It's plain as day. The thing that puzzles me is how few Christians seem to see it. But perhaps they stopped reading long before The Deathly Hollows.
