It all about the evidence, or in your case lack of evidence. If you claim that you have evidence, I would love to hear it.

I don't have evidence. It is just like me saying I believe that chair will hold me, but because I don't have evidence to support it I was brainwashed, that is always my first thought

I am not sure either way. I don't, not believe in god, but I also don't believe a god exists. It is the only honest position one can take when faced with a total lack of evidence for a claim. And this is the position of most atheists.

If you have never sat on a chair because you have been told since birth that chairs aren't for sitting on and that they won't hold your weight, that is indoctrination.

'You can have all the faith you want in spirits, and the afterlife, and heaven and hell, but when it comes to this world, don't be an idiot. Cause you can tell me you put your faith in God to put you through the day, but when it comes time to cross the road, I know you look both ways.' - Dr House

“Young earth creationism is essentially the position that all of modern science, 90% of living scientists and 98% of living biologists, all major university biology departments, every major science journal, the American Academy of Sciences, and every major science organization in the world, are all wrong regarding the origins and development of life….but one particular tribe of uneducated, bronze aged, goat herders got it exactly right.” - Chuck Easttom

"If my good friend Doctor Gasparri speaks badly of my mother, he can expect to get punched.....You cannot provoke. You cannot insult the faith of others. You cannot make fun of the faith of others. There is a limit." - Pope Francis on freedom of speech

I like how this discussion evolved. These conversations are an important first step in lowering one's defenses enough to begin to cope with reality. Let's just remember that is the objective. At least that's my objective.

Your analogy is bad because you have sat on chairs before. Also, you are familiar with the materials and the arrangements used to make a chair. With God, you have no previous God's you interacted with. Nor do you know how or of what God is made (does God have lungs, legs, arms, eyes, etc...). So a better analogy would be a monster under a kids bed. You never interacted with a monster under a kids bed, nor would you know how they look like. There are plenty of kids that claim their existence. Do you believe them?

I have always been able to trust in God and that trust has never failed, I have had previous experience.

You should then trust in God to give you a better argument.
