The "offended" card often doesn't work, at least in my experience. Ppl are fed up with being "politically correct" (aka mutually respectful) around the disabled or other minorities.

That's partly because some people focus more on the words used than the intent of the word. If I say black or gay I'm not trying to be derogatory. I just think African American and Homosexual are big words that I'd like to use shorter versions of.

Anyone who asks... But I don't speak out my atheism much simply because most people don't give a crap about what I think about god and religion.
