I believe over half the population has a favorable view of either President Bush so I don't think the name is as damaging as you think. Being connected to Obama is more toxic to a candidate than being connected to Bush right now.

Hey, I'll give you that. I'm really not that interested in reading approval ratings. Here in Ohio, a huge majority of people I talk to don't care that he's black, they just don't like that he's "a stupid nigger".
